Dylan is still playing soccer. We had a bit of a break because she missed a practice and game when we went to Lubbock, then she was off the weekend of Savannah's Birthday party. The game before all this, was her best game ever, so I was a little worried she'd forget her progress since it'd been so long since she had played. BUT, she had a game this past Saturday and played awesome! Before she wouldn't really try and she would just look miserable out there. Now, not only are we excited she is actually trying, but she looks like she is having fun. She jumps around, smiling and giving us thumbs up!
Last week, we got to practice early so I let Savannah play out on the field. Before I knew it practice was starting and she just welcomed herself to the huddle. I made sure it was okay with the coach and then she got to stay out there through the drills and come out once they started to scrimmage. She was so stinking cute out there in her gymnastics leotard and sweatpants!
Last Friday night we went to Frog Fest for the second year with our neighbors. The kids were all excited and I think they had a great time. There was a parade (with candy!), a pep rally, face painting, bounce houses, etc. As an adult, I'm not sure we will go back. With traffic that time of day, it takes FOREVER to get there and then the parade was only a fraction of what it was last year and the attendance was way down. Then we got stuck in traffic on the way home at 8 p.m. Although, the kids have fun, I'm not sure it's worth the trouble!
Waiting on the parade to start.
Begging for candy...
Look, it worked!
All 4 of them.
