My parents flew in Friday night. We met them at the airport and dropped off the girls with them for the weekend. They stayed at our house and we had a hotel in Addison. Friday night we got to go eat at my absolute favorite restaurant, Capital Grille, and it did not disappoint! Their signature drink is a Stoli Doli, which is a pineapple martini. I treated myself to 3 of them! Angel is trying to figure out how to make them and transport them to the ranch for Justin's birthday!
We had the best food. We had their bread assortment, fried calamari, and a salad that was the special of the night that had blood orange vinegarette, almonds and feta. Then for our entree we split what I would argue is the best steak ever (& I've had a lot of steak in my day)! It is a mushroom crusted bone-in ribeye with aged balsamic. IT IS SO GOOD. Then on Jeff and Angel's recommendation we tried the lobster macaroni and cheese. It was so die for! Seriously!!
That night we met a friend of mine from college and her boyfriend at Flying Saucer. We had so much fun with them! Megan literally took this one picture of us and before we could even see what it looked like the camera died for the weekend. It's not the best picture, but it'll have to do since it's the only one!
Saturday we visited Jeff and Angel because I'd left my watch at their house the weekend before. After that we went to our first movie at the theater in forever. The weather was so beautiful. We went in short sleeves to a happy hour on a patio in the sun. I was in heaven. After a short nap and a shower we went to dinner in a concert at Love & War in Texas. We had such a great weekend. Thank you mom and dad for keeping our girls and for the hotel!
