The first full weekend in January, Sue & Papa John travelled to town and we got to spend a great weekend with them. Friday when when got in, Sue came to our house to hang out a while. Angel and the kids joined us so of course the girls had a blast. Justin & John went to a golf warehouse to get new clubs for John. I won't even try to recount all the details because I will get it wrong, but apparently it was a pretty cool experience. That night Katie, Lauren & Collin joined us for dinner at Mi Familia, which is always good, and then we headed over to visit Johnny & Kasey at their new house and greet baby Eli!
Saturday we ate lunch at Up in Smoke (I love their Frito Pie!) and then Dylan had a soccer game. We've finally come to the conclusion that Dylan is not going to get into soccer so this will be her last season....at least for a while. She just hates all the running - which is exactly how I was! The only part she really enjoys is being goalie. That's when she looks like she has fun and gets aggressive - I believe she's thrown some elbows! Ha!
After her game it was time to head to Jeff & Angel's to exchange the final Christmas gifts. I think everyone was pretty happy with their gifts, but the funniest part was the As Seen on TV gift exchange. That brought lots of laughs! We ordered Maggiano's and it was SO good! We don't have one near us now so it had been forever since we ate it so it hit the spot. Plus, I love the idea of ordering in - with all the kids and their ages I guess that's just the stage we are in!
It was a really great weekend....minus a few sicknesses & a fall!
