Dylan hadn't been to the dentist in about a year. Last week I was looking in her mouth and saw what appeared to be a stain on her back, top tooth. I got out the flashlight for a closer look and found out it was a hole in the side of her tooth!!
Yesterday we tried out a new dentist close to the new house & we really like it. Her mouth looks great with the exception of those back, top teeth (the one on the other side that I didn't see is even worse)!
The dentist called me over to talk about those teeth and asked me if she had ear problems between the ages of one and two. I said she had several ear infections and tubes at 15 months. He said that's what caused her back teeth to be like they are. That when they are that age and everything is in such close proximity, the ear problems can cause enamel to not fully form on the teeth. He said there was nothing we could have done to prevent it, but still!!! It's crazy to me that she has holes in her teeth!
We go back April 21st to get one tooth sealed to prevent future problems and then on the other side she has to get a small filling and then get the tooth sealed. Wish us luck!!
The office was cute & the girls had lots of fun playing! In the corner there was a puppet stage. Dylan loved it and climbed behind it to put on a puppet show with a tiger puppet. I thought it was the cutest thing. She had the mouth going and was telling some story that involved Savannah. Savannah had been standing there watching it, but all of a sudden she freaked out and started screaming. She was suddenly was so scared. Everyone the office was giggling while I was trying to calm her down. So cute!
After the appointment Savannah and I dropped Dylan at school and then ran errands for hours. She has only been napping about half the time so I figured it would be a day she'd skip it. She wasn't cranky but was in my room watching t.v. while I was cleaning up. A while later I was vacuuming and went into my bedroom to find the below. She didn't squirm a bit - she was out!
Dylan was sneaking in to see her...
Look how close to the edge of the bed she was!
