It seems like we've been in a whirlwind since moving into the house. We worked so hard to get unpacked, then went to Amarillo for Paul's wedding. When we got back we worked to get more settled and things put away. Then we hosted Savannah's birthday weekend and Thanksgiving/Dylan's birthday, painting a few rooms along the way. Since we spent Christmas in Amarillo and had company last weekend, our Christmas decorations were still up. I started gathering things throughout the house to pack up, but really spent any free time I had this past week shopping! I really hadn't bought too much decor for the house. We just used things we already had to see what else we needed. There are still a million things in my head I'd love to do (I know Justin is cringing at that), but we got a pretty good start this weekend. We got all Christmas packed and put away as well as the following...
I thought this was odd...while unwrapping a brand NEW candle, I dropped it on the floor and it split right down the middle.
Close up of one of the new sconces.
Sconces and new picture on the wall.
Close up of the picture...it's actually a giant frame, but I still need to fill it with black and white photos.
This is just inside our bedroom door. They were a gold, but I painted them to go more with our home. I do realize the J is crooked...it only had one nail hole & I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet.
The 2 square pictures are new in the hallway that leads to our bedroom.
Another view.
I got this scrolly thing to go above the doorway from the kitchen to the dining room.
This plaque was actually a Christmas gift from my Aunt Nelda and Uncle Danny. I love it so much and it goes perfectly in our house. It says, "Bless Our Home and All Who Enter."
We hung it just inside the front door.
This was in our old house and I love it, but Justin doesn't so it's been sitting in our garage since we moved in. We compromised and finally hung it today...in our bathroom, ha!
Also, Justin built a workbench and reorganized the garage yesterday!
And, that's the end of the 'patting ourselves on the back' post!
