Ahh... We Are Home!

Last Thursday we drove to Amarillo and left the girls & Mak with my parents. Justin & I went to Vegas for the the weekend for Justin's cousin Michael's 21st birthday. This has been a tradition in the family & now we only have one more of these trips left! Vegas is always fun, but having 16 people in the group made it that much more fun - we had a blast! On the flight back to Amarillo Sunday I was the lucky one & got on a direct flight as the ONLY standby passenger & got home to Amarillo about 4:30. Unfortunately, Justin, John, Sue & Katie not only didn't make the direct flight, but their flight was DELAYED & they didn't get home until about midnight. Justin took the 6:30 flight out of Amarillo Monday morning to come back to work while the girls & I hung out in Amarillo for a few days. After coming off a Vegas weekend & then getting very little sleep Sunday night it was nice for Justin to have a quiet house to get caught up on his rest. It was so nice for me to be able to see family during those few days & I am so lucky to currently be a stay at home mom and able to do so, but I was worn out!! Yesterday morning I got up & drove home. Driving that far with a dog & 2 little ones is not my ideal day but we made it & the trip was definitely worth it. Tomorrow I'm going to a Happy Hour for my friend Jane's birthday and then the next day we are all headed to Decatur for my friend Jessica's son's first birthday. After that we plan to get caught up on house work because next weekend is Jeff & Angel's wedding reception. I predict another wild weekend - we can't wait!!
