Spring Break

My sister-in-law, Katie, came into town on Wednesday. We've had a busy few days, but I think we managed to provide some fun for the little ones.

First off....time for more shopping.

After lunch Dylan & Katie rode the carousel.

The weather has been absolutely perfect so we were outside the other night before bed. This picture makes me laugh because this is exactly how Dylan rolls up her feet to check the bottom of her shoes for dog poop. This is something that got started at my parents house that we've continued because we get a kick out of it. Whenever Dylan goes through the grass we say, "Eew, gross! You've got poop on your shoes!" She'll roll up both feet, inspect them for poop & say "Nope!" For the record, we've never actually found poop on her shoes. :)

Friday we ventured over to the Ft Worth Zoo. From the moment we exited the highway something BIG was going on. I was thinking something at TCU or a festival of some sort. There were cops everywhere to handle the traffic. Unfortunately for us it was zoo traffic!! Wow, zoo during spring break...not the best idea. We did our best & spent about 3 hours there. The girls managed to see a few animals, but it wasn't quite the same experience they would have had if it weren't so crowded. Here they are checking out a monkey.

This meerkat was my favorite. He was just relaxing in the sun, checking out all the people.

It was hard to take many pictures because we had 3 girls & 2 strollers in the crowds. Their favorite thing was the elephants. One was kind enough to face its behind towards us & pee. Let's just say that elephants pee a LOT. Dylan said it was 'swimming.' Savannah did great at the zoo. Here she is in her little hat.

Today we took them to a puppet show at the Galleria. When we walked in there was already a puppet variety show going on. We caught the end of it & the girls couldn't really see anything, but here they are anyway. Justin & Katie then took Dylan & Cameron to see Sleeping Beauty & the Snoring Prince. Me & Savannah just shopped around. I'd forgotten what it was like pushing the normal stroller around versus the double stroller!

Oh & Savannah has started eating peas. She does okay. She's still figuring it all out. Steve, these next pictures are for you.

She was eating pretty well until Justin & Dylan walked through & then all focus was lost. She was doing her darndest to see what they were up to.

Here's my precious baby.

And here's how precious naps. She falls asleep as soon as she points that head up.
