Summer Recap

We definitely had a busy summer, but I wanted to capture our day to day life so I don't forget.  The summer flew by, but I really tried to concentrate on enjoying the simple things before the girls went off to school.
They got a kick out of the fact I let them start making their own sandwiches despite the fact it takes forever!

We loved watching Adam doing silly baby things... like rolling himself up into a ball.
And were a little bummed when he got too big for the swing!
The girls were so excited about a donut breakfast at the park.  I promise they were....despite what they look like in the picture.
Adam LOVES to swing.  We really need to get him a baby swing to hook up to our playset now that the weather is bearable!
Justin and I are still a little taken aback by the fact that our children take up a whole couch - ha!
We had our own little 4th of July celebration in the backyard.
 Watching Daddy's firework show
The girls want to be involved and help in anything we do.  So here they are helping to repaint the dining room.
Big fun for them!
One day when I was going to paint their nails they asked if I would let them do it themselves.  Imagine the surprise when I said yes!
Here they are hard at work
Savannah went the pink route.
And Dylan opted for a pattern of different colors.
They had fun at a vacation bible school they attended with Maddie.
The girls and I also bought the summer movie package at a nearby theater.  We did it last summer as well and worked out even having Adam there.  It's all moms or grandparents with kids so it doesn't matter if the kids are a little wild.  That being said, I'm not sure it'll happen next summer when Adam will be running around everywhere - ha!
We didn't make it to the pool near enough, but I was hesitant to take 3 kids on my own.  Hopefully next summer we will spend a lot more time there.
It was a wonderful summer that went by way too fast.  I love having time to not be on such a schedule and just hang out with my sweet kiddos!
