Savannah waved for the first time on Wednesday. At her nine month appointment there were 2 things the doctor asked about that she wasn't doing. This was the first time for either of my kids to not being doing these things. One was waving & the other was holding her own bottle. I asked the doctor if it was okay for her not to be doing these things & she said yes, but I'm still relieved she waved! She said it was common for kids that stay home most of the time not to learn this until later unless I sit around all day & wave to her. She still has no interest in holding her own bottle though. On the other hand Savannah has been chowing like a champ lately! It's like she suddenly decided she loves to eat. She discovered her new favorite food tonight - grapes! She is having a terrible time teething! We've had several rough days & nights lately. Last night was finally good so we have our fingers crossed for tonight.
Dylan is a very good girl, but of course she is two & does get an attitude. Last night she was whining & Justin kind of got onto her & told her he couldn't understand what she was saying unless she asked like a big girl. She pondered that for a few seconds & replied, "I need you to ask me like a big boy." It was all I could do to not burst out laughing!! Her hair is still growing & is actually about down to her shoulders now, but you would never know it because the longer it gets the curlier it gets! We are still working on potty training - I'm just praying for it to click in her head one of these days. She'll go anytime you tell her to, but she doesn't just go on her own yet. She LOVES washing her hands - our water bill is probably going to be higher this month! She has her little stool in the bathroom to wash her hands. She used to slide it to one side to reach the light switch & then back over to the sink. One day I walked in & she had her stool & Savannah's stool side by side so she could reach both without moving anything - smart little girl!
