Adam is Two Months Old!

Mister turned two months old over the weekend.  He is really growing up and changing everyday.  About 7 weeks he started smiling at us and now he laughs...so sweet!

Here he is last night.  You get the idea even though the lighting is bad.

He continues to be a great little baby.  His most high maintenance times are always at Dylan's softball games.  He rarely cries at home except when he's hungry.  He has started to smile and bat at the toys on his carseat and bouncy chair.  Adam loves his swing and watching the toys go around on it.

He sleeps in his Snuggle Nest between Justin and I (unless I fall asleep holding him during feedings).  He is so funny.  He will be so tired in the evening and take cat naps, but he won't go to bed for the night until I am in bed with the lights off...regardless of time.  I guess that's his signal!  He doesn't cry when he wakes, but instead just kind of snorts and grunts trying to eat his hands.  Most of the time Justin doesn't hear him or wake up.  That might change soon though because I'm going to try to let him fall back asleep without always feeding because he's still getting up between 2 - 4 times a night (usually 3 hours apart) and according to the pediatrician he should be able to sleep longer stretches at his age.  I've just been lazy about working with him because it's just so easy to reach over and grab him and get him back to sleep quick.

Adam sure does love his sisters and they love him!  I feel like I constantly have to tell them to leave him alone.  Good thing he is patient!!  Savannah thinks she is his second mother.  She is always trying to wipe his spit bubbles, telling me he pooped (according to her he poops every single time she sees him), baby talking him and reporting to me whether he is awake or asleep.  Dylan is more of my little helper.  She always gets me water when I'm feeding Adam and she loves feeling grown up.  She likes being in charge when I'm busy with the baby and often gets their breakfast and snacks ready.

Adam also usually loves bath time and just relaxes.  The girls can't wait until he can join them in the tub and talk about it quite a bit.  He also doesn't mind being in his car seat unless the sun is in his eyes.

Today we had Adam's 2 month appointment.  He was great up until vaccine time.  He got one oral and two shots and was NOT happy.  He turned bright red during his initial scream and then continued crying through checkout and until we got to the car.  Poor baby!
His report was great and he is perfectly healthy.  His 2 month stats:  head 15 3/4" (50%), weight 12 lbs, 6 oz (75%), length 23 3/4" (75%).
Just to compare here are the girls' two month stats.
Dylan:  head 15 1/2" (50%), weight 10 lbs, 12 oz (75%), length 23 1/4" (75%)
Savannah:  head ? (25%), weight 10 lbs, 9 oz (50%), length 22" (25%)
I don't put too much stock in those percentages.  For example, I don't see how Dylan could have only weighed 3 oz more than Savannah and been 25% higher.  And those little ones squirm and don't stretch out for the length measurements so who knows!

Here are pictures of my baby boy!

Look at that bottom lip - so cute!
 Cheese!
