That title really isn't appropriate for these past few days, but the story is really cute. Savannah has been a much more of a handful, getting upset over things and throwing fits. This kind of came out of the blue because she'd been in a really good stage for a long time. She seriously got upset over a fork Dylan was using the other day, got sent to her room, screamed and kicked her door for an hour and a half before she wore herself out & fell asleep.
Dylan on the other hand is being a challenge in her own way. She will not sleep and it is driving us crazy! She comes out of her room so many times and has to get in constant trouble before finally falling asleep. What she needs is a spanking every time she comes out until she learns her lesson, but that is not a fun thing to do as a parent. Last night Justin told her he was serious and that she better not come out. He wasn't 5 steps out of her room before she was out so she got a spanking to start off the night. This was about 8. Between then and 1:40 she came to our room another 3 or 4 times. The last time I spanked her and sent her back up. Then on top of being uncomfortable due to pregnancy I was upset about spanking her and the fact she doesn't get enough sleep and that we have a busy weekend I don't want her being miserable for. So then it took me another hour to fall asleep! Ugh.
I think the girls must sense the baby is coming soon and reaching out for attention in different ways....but it sure hasn't been fun! I'm hoping they get over these stages soon.
Of course, they aren't all bad and even on the rough days they are still so precious. The other night Justin and I were working in the kitchen. The weather was beautiful so the girls were on the back patio playing with Play Dough. All of a sudden they started yelling for me. When I got out there they were so, so happy yelling and pointing. Dylan was jumping up & down with excitement and it was one of the sweetest moments I've experienced with them. They showed me the sky and why they were so excited. They saw a REAL angel!!!!!
Their excitement, sweet faces and innocence were just too much. I of course didn't have the heart to tell them it was an airplane! :)
